[Thematic Report] Ecosystem changes due to climate change

Friends, you might have noticed, these days the news about Cyclones, Floods, Earthquakes & other natural calamities have increased. The intensity of the natural calamity is intense & historical records of many centuries are overtaken.

All this has not happened overnight, the rapid industrialization & cutting of forests have changed the eco-system drastically. The seasons have shifted. In traditional summer time we feel winter chills, rainfall is experienced in the usual months of dry season.

We have to take immediate action to curtail this trend. In-fact action is being taken by many nations, but we need serious actions and huge funding by the developed and big economies. They are the nations that have caused maximum damage & the wrath is faced by the developing & poor nations. They are the hardest hit. They face the economic & natural crisis alike. Therefore, in this scenario it becomes the duty of big economies to support the other countries of the globe.

The sea level in Singapore has risen, rainfall has increased and become intense, the country has become warmer. This is a threat as Singapore is a low-lying island above 15 meter above sea level. Thus, a rise in sea level is an immediate threat.

The climate change is real and the damages are counting. Immediate remedial action is required.
