An International conference on Climate Change and Sustainability was held by a Parul University and State government of Gujarat (Gujarat Council of Science and Technology). Many renowned research professors and policy makers across the country gathered together to create awareness and find solutions to climate change. 

The professors explained scientifically how the impact of harm caused to the environment at one space can be experienced in different parts of the world as well as discussed the impact of COVID-19 on sustainability and climate change. The process of carbon sequestration (the process to store carbon to mitigate risks of climate change) and many innovative ideas like Mycorrhizal Soil were also discussed. The policy makers talked about the policy landscape and the policy changes that are taking place.

I got the opportunity to engage with the university students and I discussed ideas like charging carbon interest and funding carbon labs. In our engagement, we talked about the importance of creating awareness about environmental concerns and how it is possible for youth to collaborate together and face climate change and make an ideological shift from the archaic definition of development to sustainable development.
