by Asmita Gaire | 20-09-2020 20:24

I am a veterinarian. If it wasn't lockdown we would have made a grand celebration on the occasion of "World Rabies Day 2020" physically with all the veterinarians all together. World Rabies Day is celebrated every year on September 28. I don't know how many of our eco warriors are know about Rabies. There are many important facts on rabies that everyone should know about. Since, animal and human health are so much interlinked. A human is easily affected if the animal around them are not healthy, and mostly if we talk about dog and cat, they are kept by most of the animals as pet, and we are very much in connection with them. Rabies is not only the disease of dogs and cats but is also of the other animals like fox, wolves etc, but mostly dogs are highly affected by it and we, human are in very close contact with them. Rabies is very fatal disease, so it's prevention is more of the necessity. Good thing about Rabies is, it's 100% preventable disease. So, as a veterinarian I will be sharing you some facts on rabies for a week from tomorrow so that you will also get acknowledged about it and aware other also.
