 Ozone is made from 3 atoms of oxygen. Ozone layer which is present above 15-35 km above earth surface and protect our earth life by absorbing UV rays. Harmful UV rays can cause skin disease. Ozone depleting gases use in aerosol and cooling such as refrigerator and air conditioner are main cause of ozone layer depletion. On 22 March 1985 Vienna Convention for the protection of the ozone layer was signed by 28 countries. The Montreal Protocol was signed on 16 September, 1987 on substances that deplete the ozone layer and celebrated as international day for preservation of ozone layer. On occasion of World ozone day, 3 days awareness campign has conducted as a joint campign by me, Alok Dhakal (Regional ambassador ) Meena Pandey ( Regional ambassador ) and shobha pokhrel ( eco generation member) In this awareness campaign We have posted various slogan, facts related to ozone layer through a Facebook page Tunza Eco Network Nepal. The main objective of this campign is to provide knowledge about ozone layer among citizens and students. People will understand about ozone layer importance and causes of depletion So that people will give their contribution to protect our ozone layer for future. At last We youth should be more concern about Environmental issue. We have a responsibility to spread awareness other people in our country. Save ozone layer for future |
