by Asmita Gaire | 31-08-2020 02:12

The outbreak of Covid19 has alarmed human being of uncertainty that can happen in the future at any time. Living in the crisis is the biggest threat giving rise to number of more crisis. Example, CoVid 19 crisis is more likely to warn human being in the sectors of food safety and security. It is not a strange thing that economic crisis and food crisis is so clearly visible. This is the reason why, Sustainable Development Goals is focused and targeted since many years back. If we turn the pages of the origin of disease, we will obviously get connected to the disturbance in the ecosystem. Whether it's Ebola or Corona or Malaria or Dengue or other hundreds of disease; disruption in the normal life cycle of variou aspects of environment is the ultimate cause. Almost 7 out of 10 diseases are of zoonotic origin. Except for genetic diseases, if human makes attempt then diseases can be controlled to more extent. For this, the ultimate solution is environment sustainability through sustainable development goals achievements.

I worked as a Control Board Membership Officer in IAAS (International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences) World for the year 2019/2020. The mission of this association is exchange of ideas, knowledge, experiences and skills among students in the field of agricultural and related sciences. In this time, I was invited as a speaker on "Introduction to Sustainable Development goals" among students in Africa continents. There are 15 countries in Africa which has got IAAS membership. So, on behalf of Tunza Eco Generation and IAAS World, I presented on Sustainable Development Goals among undergraduate students of IAAS Africa. Being a girl from Asian continent, to share information in Sustainable Development Goals among undergraduate of Africa continents was really a big opportunities.

Due to my quite busy schedule at that time, I was not able to update it; which I am going to share it now in the end of term as the 24th Tunza Eco Generation Regional Ambassador. In the end, what I believe in is to make goals with targets, and the best example for it can be sustainable development goals.
