Tunza EcoGeneration theme of the year 2020 is "Be the change, Inspire the change, Implement the change! As we are already facing the impacts on climate change likely to escalate with time the change and climate action is required now.  I have been selected for the Global Climate Reality Training August Session which is hosted by Climate Reality Project. This training started on 26th August and will end on 6th September. As, I have been selected for the global training, I will be sharing my learning and experience from the initial training sessions to you in this report

The training session was led by former US Vice President Al Gore as a Climate Reality Leader which helped us to gain the knowledge and tools to shape public opinion, inspire action, and lead the global fight for climate solutions. We will be having one  to four hours of training activities each day, such as live broadcast sessions, on-demand breakout sessions, small group videoconference sessions, and individual submissions. Climate Reality Leaders after the training will join a network of more than 27,000 changemakers in over 150 countries, and complete ¡°Acts of Leadership¡± to make a meaningful difference in the fight against the climate crisis.

Along with global networking sessions and meeting climate leaders from the world, there is a group formed lead by a mentor in a specific region to discuss and tackle climate change issues in the local region. We have a group of south Asian region where table work happens after each session of the training to discuss on the local implementation of the climate action. The training session began on 26th August with an introduction of the participation in the regional hub. During the introduction session I shared about how I started my eco journey, my activities and achievements during the process and how young leaders can join our platform of Tunza EcoGeneration.

After the first day of training session, we had a one-hour regional hub table work discussion and I am going to list you the few climate issues we discussed:

- We discussed on how climate related disasters like heavy rainfall, drought have caused significant effect in our field we are working. I presented how climate change has impacted agriculture in our country.

- We discussed on the issue of climate justice. Although countries like Nepal who are producing very less amount of carbon dioxide has been facing the more effects of climate change.

- We discussed on how food loss has resulted into global warming and how we can reduce them.

- Attendances from India presented on how flood, storm, drought, wild lives loss has been escalated in India due to climate Change

- Discussion was made on how traditional and indigenous people are becoming the more victim of climate change impacts

- We discussed on the solution measures like early warning system of climate related disasters, youth roles in advocacy and reducing carbon footprint.

With the further discussion sessions and learnings, I will be sharing you all my experiences in future reports.

Green Cheers and Let¡¯s be together to take climate action!!!
