Environment and me

I was raised in a small rural village of Nepal which was rich in biodiversity. I used to visit jungle with my mother to collect fodder for feeding livestock. Since from my childhood, my connection and love with nature is like an USB cable; I mean heart to heart connection.

Following the same passion, I joined Institute of Forestry to peruse my bachelor degree. From an early stage, I have been involved in biodiversity conservation and wildlife research activities. My interest particularly lies in conservation of pangolins. Unfortunately, pangolins are the most poached mammals in this planet. And I have been monitoring pangolins from past 6 months and recently I was awarded with student research grant to conduct the study on their possible threats. Besides, pangolin I love to work with school children and local communities to enlighten the environmental conservation knowledge.

With the support of Division Forest office and municipal, we had formed the eco-clubs in 9 community schools in sindhuli district and also raised environment conservation seminar in 5 community schools. Currently, I am leading the community based climate change adaptation project in my home district where I am responsible in organizing climate change adaptation campaigns in vulnerable communities and schools. My ultimate motive is to engage with local people and school children & to bring the beautiful smile on their faces.

I am deeply in love with environment, forest and wildlife and I categories them as my best friends and as well as my family members. My lifelong goal is to embrace them and to conserve them so that my coming generation can visualize the beautiful world and pass the same enthusiasm towards many generation.

Thank you!
