As we celebrate international youth day 2020 despite the effects of pandemic we are facing, most of the event were organized virtually. I was also invited to join the "Youth Voice" program organized by Youth Thinkers' Society as guest Speaker. International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12th every year and theme for this year is "Youth engagement for global action".

Climate change issue is an issue of global concern. At the same time, youth constitute the majority of the population in many countries and have an increasingly strong social and environmental awareness, which has the Power to transform our societies towards. Climate change require concerted global action and the meaningful engagement and participation of young people to be addressed effectively. 

With the aim to raise the voice on climate action and cretae a low-carbon and climate resilient future, I compiled a video sharing the experiences of climate activist of different places sharing their voice on climate change. You can watch my work of "Youth Voice on Climate Action" at: 

The growing issues around the world call for the wider participation and inclusion of the youth and children sector in the decision-making and development processes at local, national, and global levels. This year's International Youth Day highlights youth engagement in global action and also to open more opportunities for the said sector to participate in the building of a more-sustainable, post-pandemic society. Let us continue to call this cause in our communities as we continue to build a more prepared and resilient future. 

Youth shall always be empowered with freedom but along with sense of responsibility.
