There are different form energy like Solar,Wind, Wave ,Thermal, Nuclear ,Electrical,Sound and many more. Among them today ,I am going to share about biomass energy .Biomass energy is renewable source of energy where organic matter from plants and animal are used for energy production.

Biomass,originally from organic materials such as animal and plant waste ,when burned released energy in the form of heat . General sources for generating biomass power include ;residues of wood and forests such as bark and sawdust left by paper making process;non-toxic waste such as biodegradable garbage ;such residues of crops ;and manure These can be burned in biomass power plant to produce steam which then triggers a turbine that produces electricity.

Merits of Biomass energy

1. It is a clean and renewable sources of energy.

2. It reduces soil and water pollution.

3. Prevents health problem and biodiversity loss.

4. Generates organic fertilizer.

5. It is simple and low cost technology that encourage a circular economy.

6. Healthy cooking alternatives for developing areas.

Demerits of Biomass energy

1. Due to lack of advancement in technology ,it is difficult to produce biomass energy for a large population.

2. It contain impurities even after refinement and compression.

3. It released Co2 which needs to be carefully monitored so that it doesn't exceed limit.

4. There is a risk of deforestation with uncontrolled biomass production.
