Just Before the unprecedented lockdown of the global Pandemic, I along with the Nishan K.C, undergraduate students of Institute of Forestry , Pokhara have conducted an awareness campaign to sparkle the discussion on various environmental issues that includes:

• Climate change,
• Pollution,
• environmental degradation,
• Importance of wildlife conservation,
•  Deforestation, Flood, Landslide and many more.
• About Reuse, Recycle, Reduce concept of waste management.
• About the proper disposal of Organic and Inorganic waste

and different efforts from local level to combat these issues with around 300 students from 5 different schools of sindhuli district located at the heart of Central Nepal.We conducted this conservation awareness program in collaboration with the District Forest Office, Sindhuli. It is said that “The more you teach other, the more you will learn’. And I  am very glad to disseminate conservation knowledge to as many people as possible .

The main objective of conducting this awareness program is to:

• Disseminate the conservation knowledge to as many as students as possible.
• To aware the youth about the burning environment issues like Climate change, Deforestation, Rapid environment degradation and many more
• To teach them to use the various local measures to combat these environment issues.

The methodology for our awareness campaign includes:

•   A brief powerpoint presentation on different environment issues like climate change,Environment pollution, Importance of Wildlife, about different natural disasters like Flood , Landslides, about the random Deforestation  and its effect on environment.
•  For further explanation , We selected conservation documentary videos from different internet source and demonstrated among the students.
•  To know the further  conservation knowledge of the students, we prepared the questainnaire addresing the importance of conservation.
•  We also  conducted the short conservation quiz that covered the conservation knowledge and awarded the winner.

While conducting the program, I felt that many of students have very poor knowledge about the conservation status and it further more encouraged me to conduct more environment camapaigns in my district to shape the conservation future of my district.
