  TIGER (A beautiful creation)

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. Nature, word itself is enough to symbolize the peace and harmony of the earth. All the living organisms including we human beings are the part of it! Those melodious sound of birds, greenery, wonderful mountains, flowing river etc are also the beautiful aspect of nature. Really! God gifted us a priceless gift. And being a part of it is itself an amazing feeling. If we talk about our wildlife, they are also the member of nature. Without them nature is just like leaves without tree. We are using nature as the reservoir of resources needed. Some of the resources are being used properly leading a great future of wildlife and mankind. However some of our own activities are pushing us towards the hell of destruction. The thing we are going to talk about in this easy is the situation of tigers around the world.

Tigers are the biggest territorial and apex predators of a cat family. They often requires a large contiguous areas of habitat that fulfill their prey requirements, ruling the area as a king. If we talk about their social structure, they are solitary and territories (only for mating). Territories depends upon prey density, season and locality. Actually! tigers are very good in swimming. According to the survey in 2006, there were around 1411 tigers, which increased to nearly 1706 in 2010 and 2226 in 2014. According to the recent statistics, only 3890 tigers are left in the world. Among them, 235 tigers are found in Nepal.   This marks an increase in the population by 63% from the last survey in 2009. Really! It is such a proud moment for all the Nepalese that Nepal is the first country to reaching the global TX2 goal of doubling the number of wild tigers by the year 2022. There are 12 national parks in Nepal. Among them 18 tigers in Parsa wildlife reserve, 93 in Chitwan National park, 21 in Banke national park, 87 in Bardiya national park, 16 in Sulkapata wildlife reserve.

Evaluating the present situation of wildlife, their life is in danger. Tigers are nearly at the stage of extinction. These hunters are being hunted for several purpose such as for their pelts, meat, and body parts, which are used in folk medicine which have high value in black market. And the main reason which is nourishing these activities is illegal hunting. Also habitat destruction is a cause of its declination. Tigers are one of the important part of wildlife which also play a vital role for ecological balance performing as a tertiary consumers, maintaing the numbers of secondary ones. Decrement in their numbers are affecting whole ecosystem imbalance. Human, ourselves are creating the path of our destruction for money and property by killing them. Also deforestation for our personal needs. If it continues, there will be probably a day where tigers are available just in 500 rupiees note. In general, some of the human activities symbolize, we don¡¯t deserve this planet.

So it is very much necessary to protect their existence in this world. Being a wise and intelligent social animal, its our responsibility to give our full effort from our side. We are hearing everyday about many wildlife conservation society and NGOS, INGOs are working to stop such cruelty to animals. However works aren't done effectively. Such illegal hunters are still active in their works. Government policy should be strong against these activities. Nowadays peoples are more active in various social media, so we can do various kind of advertisement regarding to save tiger. Trained officers need to be in hired for jungle visit during night as those activities are famous during light of moon. Awareness campaign should be held. WE have few discussion about it in curriculum within biology group of science faculty. Its not just about protecting them from various danger but also we should provide our proper care and treatment for them. Because still there are some tigers which have been dying from various disease. So we should also focused about their health too. If we all give a small effort, we can save tigers. Yeah! they are very dangerous for all human beings. But they have also their own emotions, feelings, kindness etc. So its all depend on how we treat them. If we are good to them then same we will get. It's like Tit for Tat.

Tigers are saying to us, Human at least know that we were there before¡¦we don¡¯t expect much. So, It's time to show our humanity. To be honest, we would be saving ourselves by saving them. As an umbrella may not stop the rain but allows us to stand on rain like this our small effort may not save our tigers for forever but surely allows them to live longer. SAVE TIGERS! SAVE HUMAN! SAVE HUMANITY!
