[Free Report] The Climate Change Race

by Jaewon Chang | 28-07-2020 17:23

With the inevitable rise in global sea levels (due to global warming), many people often question methods to alleviate this problem. However, I'll investigate this issue in a new perspective: who the ultimate "winners" will be in this climate change race.

When considering species in this race, one can logically conclude that species that are able to adapt to climates of higher temperature will be favored. However, research conducted in this field presented difficulties in accurately quantifying the vulnerability of one species over another. In most cases, it was found that geographic locations influence one's ability to adapt to new environments. Additionally, the varying responses of ecosystems (from a rise in temperature) results in lots of uncertainties.

The reason it's important to consider this issue is because humans will be able to identify species that will be at a higher risk of extinction in these environments. From there, we may be able to devise methods of preservation and adaptation for different organisms.
