Female foresters Network (FFN) , had come up with new  Webinar Series VII entitled: " Biodiversity Conservation efforts in Nepal” July 22, 2020 to spark the  discussion on various  areas of biodiversity and ecosystem conservation in Nepal.We had  invited  Dr. Shalu Adhikari, who has 15 years of national  Experience in Biodiversity conservation, Protected area management , deliberate integrated conservation project designing with organization like UNDP and WWF. Regarding education Doctor of Philosophy  (Ph.D) in environmental science.She has relevant experience as climate change capacity building specialist, Biodiversity and Ecosystem expert for formulation of National Integrated River Basin strategy, as a co-lead consultant for various Nepal Climate Change Support program and as a livelihood and Biodiversity expert. She has also contributed on around 10 publications covering the importance of Biodiversity concern.

As being associated with the Female Forester Nepal’s core member , I am very glad to be part of this loose network that have constantly been working to advance the leadership of Women’s participation in Forestry Field.

This webinar have been very impactful mostly for those who have keen interest to work on biodiversity  conservation and shape their future as conservationist.  We are very thankful towards Dr. Shalu Adhikari for sheddding lights on different areas of biodiversity, updating participants with latest biodiversity information , raising the issues of conservation threat and suggesting us the way forward to address the issues. She had also spark the discussion on how we human beings are connected with the biodiversity, the evolvement of biodiversity conservation in Nepal ,about the different conservation vision of the country, SDG’S and biodiversity and many more. She has also left an impactful mark in biodiversity conservation of Nepal. She had also assured the young researcher to help them with biodiversity conservation related research.

And I am very glad to be part of organizing team to bring out sensitization programs raising the recent environmemt issues.
