[Free Report] How air has changed from before

by Jaewon Chang | 20-07-2020 16:56

When we're told that air pollution has decreased over the last decade, it might seem unbelievable in the society we live today. Indeed, air pollution had decreased between 2009 to 2015 according to the Environmental Protection Agency. It was only the beginning of 2016 at which human activity prompted an increase in fine particulate pollution.

There are many ways we youth can personally contribute in the preservation of air quality. A major step that can be taken is turning off appliances that are not currently being used. In specific, these include appliances that require sockets, such as electric fans, lamps, or even light bulbs. Doing so can reduce air pollution significantly. Another step that households can take is the purchasing of an air purifier. Studies have promoted the effectiveness of them, with some able to reduce fine particulate matter presence by up to 50%. Although we may not consider air pollution to be a prevalent issue, we must continue our efforts to preserve air quality, as we wouldn't want to live in a dystopian environment where fine dust orbits the ambiance.
