Viewing sponge gourd pollen in Foldscope

Foldscope is an $1 microscope developed by an Indian scientist Manu Prakash who is a professor of bio engineering at Stanford university. It is part of the "frugal science" movement which aims to make cheap and easy tools available for scientific use in the developing world.

The use of foldscope is very wide and we can also use it in substitute to compound microscope which are expensive. The comparative use of foldscope with these expensive compound microscope gives satisfactory result and can be recommended to use paper microscope.

The price of foldscope is so affordable that one can have a foldscope as they carry pencil and pen. This is a leading path for technology and innovation.

I have also explored the use of foldscope in agriculture practical classes and a view of pollen of sponge gourd is shown here.
