World Youth Skill Day and my environmental related online courses

World Youth Skill Day is celebrated on july 15 every year to recognize the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment and entrepreneurship and to highlight the crucial role of skilled youth in adressing current and future global challenges.

This year World Youth Skill Day comes amid an unprecedented global crisis,and will highlight the need for helping young people to develop resilience to face the challenges of emplyoment and entrepreneurship, especially in sectors hardest hit by covid-19 pandemic.

I do hope that everyone of us are making best utilization of our time during this period and all eco warriors are continuing their eco activities in all the way possible. On the occasion of world youth skill day, I am sharing few online courses that I have completed related to environment. I do suggest you to complete these courses to enhance your skill and knowledge during this period.

1. Course Name: Introductory e-Course on Climate Change

Course Introduction: Course was offered with the objective to explain the fundamentals of climate change science, present the international climate change legal and policy framework and explain key issues under negotiation, describe the expected consequences of climate change and the role of adaptation, provide a rationale for climate change mitigation and propose actions in key sectors, identify main streams of climate change finance, outline basic elements of planning processes to deliver climate change action and analyze principal challenges and opportunities for climate change action.

 

2. Course Name: Becoming Global Citizens for a Sustainable Society

Course Introduction: This course is offered by GCED Online Campus

This course introduces the SDGs and the notion of Global Citizenship through the series of lectures by renowned experts from all over the world, interviews with scholars, advocates and representatives from all different sectors, and case presentations by active global citizens. The course aims to examine and critically reflect on the revolving issues around the globe at local, national, and international levels by providing a platform where learners can virtually meet and learn from one another. Learners will be able to deepen their understanding of the SDGs and global citizenship, exchange and embrace different perspectives, and challenge their own assumptions.

 

3. Course Name: Agriculture, Economics and Nature

This course will help us understand changes that have occurred in agriculture, and support improved decision making about things like agricultural production methods, agricultural input levels, resource conservation, and the balance between agricultural production and its environmental impacts.
