by Giulia Tavares Madeira Pinto | 08-07-2020 21:42

Hey everyone!!

How the things are going with you and your countries? Here, in Brazil, we are on the high point of the the virus, I hope this will pass soon.

In this pandemic time, beyond the damages in life, the ecossystems suffer too, because the attentions are in anothers topics. In Brazil, the Amazon is suffering because of the virus, I'll tell how it is going.

From the months January to Abril, an area of the city of Los Angeles was cutted down of the forest, it is alarming because means an increasing of 55% in relation of the same period of last year. And analysing to 2019, 64% more trees were cut down this Abril than the last.

So, I how said before, the atentions are turned to another areas and the ambiental question is puted beside, enjoying this, ilegal loggers, minners are taking advantage of this pandemic time and adding to this that the guards patrols are decreased in this time. The last fact is very related to the virus, because many guards was dispensed due healthy risks.

Now in Brazil we are on the winter, in this season, the rain are rare what increases the problem of the fires in the forests and this is happening through the acts of the cattles farmers that do that to clean the area for their plantation.

Protect the Amazon is important for all the planet, in there are 10% of the biodiversity of the Earth and a biggest part of the production of oxygen to us.

Green cheers from Brazil!!
