My Eco Journey This Year

I feel to glad to share among you all that I have been selected from 1,300 applications worldwide that showcased the talents, leadership, and commitment of young people for YAG. Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is a 7-member group of young leaders made up of young changemakers from Bolivia, Kenya, Lesotho, Mauritius, Nepal, Palestine, and Uganda under YP2LE.

YouthPower 2: Learning & Evaluation (YP2LE) is a USAID-funded project focused on building and disseminating the evidence on Positive Youth Development (PYD) whose goal is to give program implementers, researchers, and young changemakers the information, tools, and resources they need to develop high-quality, impactful, and sustainable youth programs. Tunza Ecogeneration has been an indelible part of my eco journey. I feel glad to see members and ambassador getting inspired form my campaigns and activities and starting their own. 2020 has been a difficult year for all of us as the pandemics of corona virus has hit us very hard but we all must learn to cope with the situation and continue our works however it is possible. As we have reached a half year, I am sharing my activities conducted during this year. I hope this will inipire and motivate many youths and children to start their eco journey and campaigns

¨ª  I organized Twitter Chat on the Occasion of World Wetland Day as Regional Ambassador

¨ª  I created a video on Eco Fact Series and uploaded to Youtube which was awareness through video about the environmental facts. You can watch this at:

¨ª  I completed Go for Green Campaign with the theme of Awaring Youth and Children for Sustainable Environment to 120 students of Amar Jyoti Secondary School with different series of events.

a. Speech Competition was organized on the topic Sustainable Environment

b. Eco Voice was organized with the aim to provide the voice of the students for going green.

c. Eco Quiz and Eco Motivation was organized to motivate the students towards environmental activities.

¨ª  I conducted research on use of botanicals and Plant Essential Oil instead of pesticides

¨ª  I participated on Pokhara Model United Nation 2020 as Co Chair in UNEP committee to discuss on the agenda of "The impact of eco-tourism on sustainability¡±

¨ª  I initiated a new campaign: ¡°MY WASTE MY RESPONSIBILITY¡±

¨ª  I was invited as panelist for ¡®Global Youth Twitter Chat session¡± on theme: Coronavirus (COVID19) A Global Pandemic: The Role of Youth During this Global Disaster hosted by  Southern Africa Youth Forum (SAYoF-SADC) on Tuesday 7 April 2020

¨ª  I conducted a series of awareness campaign with Biodiversity Ecafe on the occasion of ¡°International Day for Biological Diversity¡± sharing Biodiversity Facts, Knowledge and resources every day this week during the week of biological diversity.

¨ª  I organized four weeks of ¡°Eco Dictionary¡± sharing new environment related words, meanings and sentences on daily basis.

¨ª  I facilitated a webinar on Covid 19 and Environment by YouthLead on the topic "What Youth Can Learn About the Environment Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic" on 30th April . You can view the webinar recording at:

¨ª  I organized a Twitter Chat on May 1st on the Topic ¡°What Youth Can Learn About the Environment Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic?¡±. - My tweet: I took the #YLActsofGood Pledge.

¨ª  A week awareness campaign through ¡°YouthThinkers¡¯ Society Lamjung¡± on the occasion of the ¡°World Environment Day 2020¡± posting different aspects of the environment each day commencing from May 30 to world environment day to acknowledge the value of every small element of the environment operating together to form such a diverse domain.
