Few months back, In 2019, My proposal entitled ‘Disseminating the effective knowledge on Biodiversity Conservation’ was accepted and funded by Division Forest Office, Sindhuli. As I am a undergraduate student recently studying  in Institute Of Forestry, Nepal , I was extremely overwhelmed to get this golden opportunity. As an avid nature lover, I am lifelong committed to contribute for the Mother Earth in every little way as possible.

The objective of my project is :

Ø  To aware the primary and secondary level students of 8 schools about the biodiversity and the importance of its conservation.

Ø  To help them in disseminating the knowledge to the local community of their area.

During this project, I got chance to interact with around 300 students of 8 schools of Sindhuli District, Nepal  from different background and got to know about general understanding regarding biodiversity. I have interacted with them through the Powerpoint  presentation and by displaying documentaries related to Biodiversity. The data used in slide that is related to flora and fauna were extracted from the official site of Department of National Park and Wildlife Conservation in Nepal. To spice up the interaction, I also conducted the quiz related to biodiversity and awarded the maximum scorer. I strongly believe that, ‘The more you learn and help others  to learn, the more people will be aware about the existing environmental scenario’.  Environment conservation is the integral part of the today’s human existence. As the morning shows the day, so if we are able to disseminate the knowledge we have , to the younger generation, then we are able to sow the seed of future environment conservationist . The 15 days of hustle and bustle ended up in shaping the conservation future of the district . I am extremely thankful to all the helping hands. This program somehow helped in evoking consciousness among students to conserve the biodiversity around us.

Hoping for more conservation project to handle for shaping more conservation army in the future.
