Mask challenge of UN and my first experience as a mentor or teacher

by Diana Gamazova | 29-06-2020 14:16

So on this Saturday I completed Mask challenge from UN, for those who don't know what is it:
As part of its World Environment Day (WED) campaign this year, the United Nations (UN) has launched a "mask challenge" to focus attention on air pollution. The idea is to create a face mask, take a picture of it, and then post it on social media from May 24 through June 5 (#MaskChallenge).
This year's WED theme is "beat air pollution" and the masks symbolize the need for cleaning up the air that we breathe. According to the UN, "approximately 7 million people worldwide die prematurely each year from air pollution, with about 4 million of these deaths occurring in Asia-Pacific."  The UN also is encouraging participants to chose a personal strategy for reducing air pollution and to share it with others.
World Environment Day, celebrated each year on June 5, was created during the 1972 UN Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm, Sweden. The UN designates a specific ¡°host country¡± for its WED celebration each year. This year¡¯s host country is China, which is well known for having horrible air pollution. China is taking steps to try and reduce emissions.  - https://www.planetaid.org/blog/world-environment-day-maskchallenge#:~:text=As%20part%20of%20its%20World,through%20June%205%20(%23MaskChallenge).

So due to the quarantine, we were just 6 jn this masterclass, however we've made a great communication and atmosphere was very welcoming. As you may notice from my previous reports, the atmosphere in our city is very polluted, so we had a great reason on doing the masterclass.
We had an activity, while creating our piece of art. Guests was telling me their favorite animals and I needed to tell fun facts about them or features of their habitats.
I had so much fun and i also need thank the fund Children Draws the World for everything, from the place, where event was held to organizing and promoting Mask Challenge in Instagram.

Green Cheers and hold on there!
Don't let this virus slow you up on a way to your dream.
Always yours Diana

I'll show you my mask a little bit later, because I still didn't receive photos from photographer
