        Sub -sector of horticulture which is related with the work of producing vegetables is called vegetable farming .One of the inseparable components of our meat, apart from this we get different kinds of nutrition from vegetables.

      We have been farming the vegetables for domestic purpose from the ancient time. But nowadys, vegetables are farmed in scientific and commercial ways. This farming helps in earning profit and changing the lifestyle of people. On the basis of climatic condition,there are two ways of vegetable farming .They are-

1) Seasonal vegetable farming

2) Off -seasonal vegetable farming
