My activities at WED- 2020

Hello Everyone, Happy World Environment Day 2020. I was great to read about the reports in world report tab about this event and how eco members marked this day. This year the theme is “Time for nature,Celebrating Biodiversity” and is hosted by Colombia. It was celebrated worldwide in different part of world. Here is how I celebrated this day,

1. 1. Surfed World Environment Day's Website & solved the quiz at: https://www.worldenvironmentday.global/explore-nature, There were more that 10 quizes and related to environment and biodiversity. Even we gave wrong the correct answer was displayed with detailed additional information.

2.   2.    Wrote about Pangolin in world report tab and impart knowledge to all tunza eco generation members about body structure, habitat, conservation status, population biology and their importance.

4.    4.   Attended Online Youth Summit on WED 2020 as a delegate.

The program was jointly organized by Damak public library, Leo club of Kathmandu regency and Rotary club of Damak. The event begin with the opening address from the host organizations, followed by Key Note Address by Prof. Dr. K.R. Khambu Rai, Professor at Mechi Multiple Campus, Jhapa; eminent zoology/herpetology researcher and accomplished author. We had a chance to ask questions and interact with Prof. Rai as well.

The presentation was followed by session by Sijal Pokhrel, graduate MSc. Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University. We had resource persons from diverse filed with their presentations.

 And Hackathon was organized consisting of 8-10 members in a group to draft out solution to ongoing environmental issues. We presented our discussion to address the problem. Mentors and organizing committee assisted us and presented our fruitful discussion to all delegates present.
