World Bicycle Day

World bicycle day is celebrated on June 3 since 2018.This day is celebrated to lay emphasis on the benefits of cycling.Riding bicycle is not only safe in health point of view bus also good for environment.

 

According to WHO, safe infrastructure for walking and cycling is also a step towards achieving great health quality.On this day,various cycling events are organised in order to promote the culture of cycling in society .However ,this year no such event could be conducted due to global pandemic COVID-19.

 

Bicycle is easy and economic means of transportation . It is eco-friendly means of transportation Cycling doesn't required .gasoline therefore,there is no vehicles emission or smog unlike other means of transportation like car,bus ,train etc. It helps to reduce the carbon footprint.Besides environmental benefits,it also has health benefits.Regular cycling induce cardiovascular fitness,increase muscle strength and flexibility,improved joint mobility,decreased stress level,improve posture and coordination ,decreased body fats and many more .

 

Let me share my experiences of learning bicycle. On one hand, I have always wanted to learn riding bicycle since my childhood but on other hand I was so afraid of getting hurt. Finally ,I learned it after my school level.One day ,I just went to my brother and asked him to teach me the way to ride bicycle,at first he scold me saying first you overcome fear about riding bicycle and came to me.But ,that day I was very sure that I will learn at any cost today.So,I forced him to teach me bicycle and hopefully that day I learned to ride bicycle  to some extend. Every day I used to practise riding bicycle and I fully learned riding bicycle.
