Every time we have to tackle different hurdles when we are doing something new with a great purpose. It is not as easy as it seems.

On the occasion of International Day for Biological Diversity, I had organized ‘Online Slogan Writing Competition’. As the globe is suffering from global pandemic, it was only the thing I thought I could do being at home. The theme of slogan ought to be  ‘Our solutions are in nature’.

I was pleasantly surprised by the huge mass of participants and felt great to know the curiosity of  participants regarding this elite platform. It was my honor to make them know about Tunza Eco-generation and I let them what really is Tunza and its goals and objectives. It is the matter of pride to see the participants from different countries and among all the participants, 199 participants were eligible as they met the criteria to be fulfilled for valid slogans.

Besides 199 participants, there were huge participants who did not follow the criteria for valid participants. However, we did not leave them to know about Tunza Eco-generation.

Taking the mass of participants into consideration, I requested the expertise of different stream so as to make the wise decision to be justice to every participants.

There were four jury panel members. Asst. Professor Mr. Subodh Khanal who is currently working as a Department head of Department of Soil, Agri-engineering and Environmental Science, in Tribhuwan University, Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science. He has also broad knowledge on Environmental Impact Assessment, Sustainable Agriculture, Climate Change, Soil and Water Conservation, Ecosystem Services, biodiversity management, Applied ethnobotany. I am equally thankful to Asst. Professor Dr. Kashiraj Pandey, Kathmandu University who has several years of experience in English Literature and is also one of the head member of ‘Perth Poetry’. Similarly, Mr. Ravi Bista has wide knowledge on English proficiency and is IELTS and TOEFL expert. He is guiding to thousands of students every year to build English Language. We are also grateful to Dr. Bindu Bhandari who is respected Alumni of Tunza- ecogeneration and currently working in Climate Interactive and ICIMOD.

I am feeling less to thank them by every words. Despite their busy schedules, they easily agreed and felt happy to be the jury panel in Tunza Eco-generation.

Among, the participants, Ms. SUJANA BHATTARAI hold the first position and I would like to congratulate in her effort of writing slogan. It was really hard for jury panel to choose the winner. As for the result, 13 participants were honored by the honorable mentioned certificate to respect for their work.

It was made mandatory for participants to share their slogan in Facebook wall tagging any 5 friends so as to make access for diverse group of people among the world. In a way , we made the large number of people to know about Tunza eco-generation.

Eventually, I should not forget Tunza to give this platform to work for and support during the campaign. My sincere gratitude to Sang Su mentor as well. I would also like to thank regional ambassador for Nepal Ms. Dibya Bhatta, Mr. Kushal Naharki, Mr. Bal Krishna Pandey, Mr. Sagar Koirala, Miss Sandhya Adhikari for helping hands. I also remember Mr. Nishan K.C for his support helping me to reach many people possible.
