It's no doubt that in people in the tropical country or the country that has a very high temperature (Like my country Thailand) need to have the invention to cool down the temperature in their houses.

Air conditioner and refrigerator share 20 percent of total energy consumption and produce over 100 million tons of carbon dioxide anually.

Increasing deman for air conditioning resulting in having to produce it more, from the manufacturers to consumer, it all depends on the enormous number of energy. Most energy sources in the world also come from burning of fossils (coal, natural gas, etc.) that produce carbon dioxide to the atmosphere resulting in hotter weather.

Other than that, there are a atmosphere destroying substances that we use as a refrigerant called CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons) and HFCs (Hydrochlorofluorocarbons) spills during production releases chlorine, which is harmful to the environment. Therefore, it has been replacing by the substance called HFCs (Hydrofluorocarbons)
air-con common

Nowadays, many companies tryna reduce the substances and find the way to make air conditioner more eco-friendly. According to  " The Montreal Protocol" on the reduction of chemical substances that harm the atmosphere.
