When a Earth is yarn and human a needle; what will be the result?

by Asmita Gaire | 26-05-2020 10:28

I tried to make most of the things that I do relatable to the nature. I had written in my past reports, I will be writing about my knitting experience in the report. It is lockdown that has put me to experience this beautiful habit. The lockdown started in Nepal from summer, in the initial phase it was quite difficult to suddenly push ownself into home and engage in indoor activities. However, nothing is impossible and now, it doesn't feel much like I am in lockdown. My home is though in city by address but everything here's like we do in countryside. We have trees, green fields, canals, gardens, few houses, a pitched road but public vehicles rarely travels. Instead of vehicles sound, you will get to enjoy sounds of birds, cocks, animals like cows, buffaloes and voice of small children playing in evening in their own home which I really do enjoy.

From summer, rainy season made an arrival into our area which is the great moment that farmers have longed waited for, so do I. One problem of rainy season is we can't travel outside, but in this crisis I have no queries with rainy season. From the arrival of rainy season I realized, season changes on and time goes on. I sat listening to birds songs, beholding rain drops, smelling fresh air and feeling the cool breeze. I every senses were activated. I felt like time, I should also be ready to welcome every season, and activating all the senses, with the peace in heart, I took an yarn and started knitting. I went on knitting that round yarn and as a result I prepared a well knitted head band for coming winter. After I knitted, I realized I have already welcomed winter with this warm head band. While I was knitting that ball, there was a true game in my mind. When we knit a yarn into the shape and form that we have desired, the result is just awesome. The fabric that is long length can be windled into a yarn, and the same fabric when interconnected by different ways can result into an unique shape as well. But the same fabric, if the correct coordination isn't made with needle then, it goes in vain.

Earth is also quite relatable. Earth is like a yarn, if the fabric (all the constituents of ecosystem) gets interconnected together by a needle (Human) then it results into a suitable form like headband (balanced ecosystem). However, the same needle would prick if not functioned properly. If a human(needle) doesn't interconnect (knit) all the components of ecosystem (fabric), how much progress he thinks he has done, everything will go in vain since desired balanced ecosystem (head band) isn't acheived. Like, making winter head band, I am into nature friendly activities too. Like, last time I have addressed you all to tell about my knitting experience, I will be sharing about my nature friendly activities too. (To be Continued)

So, try to become a good needle networking every fabrics firmly and suitably bringing a proper shape and desired product.
