Bonsai : A Beautiful art!!

The word Bon-sai is a Japanese term which means,planted in container.This art form is derived form is derived from an ancient Chinese horticultural practice,part of which was then redeveloped under the influence of Japanese Zen Buddhism.Bonsai making is artistic way of making miniature form of tree grown in container .It is art as well as science.There are different style of bonsai.They are :
a. Chokkan(Formal Upright)
b .Moyogi(Informal Upright)
c. Shakkan(slanting)
d. Sokan(Twin trunk)
e.Semi Kengal(Semi cascade)
f.Kengal(Cascade)
g. Ikadabuki(Ratt)
h .Sokan(Twin Trunk)
i. Kabudachi(Mutiple Trunk)
j. Yose-ue(Forest)
k. Ishisuki(Bonsai in Rock)
Bonsai can be prepared from any perennial woody stem tree or shrub species that produces true branches and can be cultivated to remain small through pot confinement with crown and root pruning. The plants should have slow growing habit.Proper bonsai preparation takes many years with proper care and management.Proper training ,pruning,nutrient management ,stalking ,wiring,re potting etc  should be carried out at proper time depending on style of bonsai to be prepared.
