[FREE REPORT] Bougainvillea

 Bougainvillea is the most popular ornamental quick growing shrub.  Its Peak flowering season is February to April .It does not normally flower in shade. There are about 10 species of Bougainvillea .Major cultivars belong to four species-

•B. spectabilis , •B. peruviana , V. glabra and •B x buttiana (Believed to natural hybrid between B. peruviana and B. glabra)

It forms colorful ornamental hedge. It is very important to know about the propagation of this flower in order to get it in multiple numbers.

Its Propagation can be done by Cutting, Air layering and budding. However, application of IBA @ 1000-3000 ppm encourage rooting  . The time of cutting preparation is July to Aug or Feb-March. Those species which are difficult to propagate are propagated by air layering. The cultivars which cannot be propagated by cutting and layering are propagated by T or Shield budding. Time for budding for Bougainvillea is Feb-March.
The Time of planting is July-September. For giant cultivar pit of 1m diameter and 75 cm depth should be dug. For the successful planation of the plant, use of FYM- 10-12 per plant before planting or June pruning must be done. While talking about its irrigation, Irrigation to Young plants needs frequently. In general no heavy pruning but depends on purpose.

As this plant is choice of many people one can plant it for beauty of their home, office or any resident.
