On May 1, 2020, Female Forester’s Network, Nepal organized a webinar series “Advancing Women’s Leadership in Forestry Sector” with around 110 enthusiastic female forester’s participant around the country. The webinar lasted 2 hours with very professionalism discussion upon different relevant topics related to forestry sector. The session  being  facilated by Dr. Radha Wagle and Dr. Kalpana Giri, two powerful personality in forestry sector joined dots on many of our analytical dilemma related to our bright career in forestry sector.

Being one of the participants of this webinar series, I am extremely delighted to see more than 100 peoples of different background actively involving in the intellectual discussion, coming up with their constructive feedbacks and queries to secure a better and productive future in Forestry being a women. I personally learnt more from the rollercoaster journey of self  established people. So, I learnt many tips and strategy to be used when shaping the future in forestry, different existing forestry policies that can be further used as a weapon when in need, the hustle in abroad studies, the different social and cultural norms that the society and parents will inflict upon us during our career journey, the home work that has to be done before presenting your ideas to the mass and also got light on how to prepare yourself to fight over gender inequalities with our bold aura in the workplace.  I also got to know about how the social networking with respective field experts , senior , juniors will work as a ladder to uplift my potentiality  to be a better version of  being Forester.

To know the raw experiences from such leading women will definitely ignite all of the participants to work harder , to choose career wisely, to spread positive aura and help others in need , to mold our future in forestry that will definitely bring positive  revolution in forestry sector  in the country in  the upcoming days. We are still looking forward for more webinar series that will address many sectors of Forestry and bring us more connected social media wise  despite  of us being in social distancing in this pandemic.
