Everyday we use different type glass for different purpose and throw it .Recycling glass is of the many way to reduce pollution and waste.Instead of letting landfill pile up with glass object that are a thread to safety and and the environment we can reuse it.

Glass can be melted down and use in different forms from drinking glasses to glass fibres.When glass is taken to a manufacturing unit or recycling plant,it is broken up into small pieces called cullet.The broken pieces are crushed ,shorted ,cleaned ,and prepared to be mixed with other raw materials like soda ash and stone.The raw materials and glass pieces are melted in furnace and then shaped into moulds to make new bottles of different colour and shape.In this way ,new recycled bottles and jars are made.

Advantages of recycling glasses:

1. The cost of production of glass from recycling is lower than producing it from its raw material.

2. Glass produced from recycled glass reduced related air pollution by 20% and related water pollution by 50%.

3. Recycling glass reduces space in landfills that would otherwise taken up by used bottles and jar.
