Biodiversity loss describes the decline in the number ,genetic variability and variety of Species and the biological community in a given area. The biological community is an interacting group of various species in a common location.

The idea of biodiversity is most often related with species richness (the count of species in an area ) and thus biodiversity loss is often viewed as species loss from an ecosystem or even entire biosphere.

The major cause of loss of biodiversity is due to influence of human beings on world's ecosystem.For eg: Fishing and hunting,changing the biogeochemical cycles and transfering species from one area to another area of planet.

Due to various human activities the environment is being polluted which results in climate change .Climate change for example heating of earth surface affects biodiversity beacuse it endangers all the species that adapted to the cold latitude or altitude.

Overexploitation of resources such as overfishing or overhunting may cause loss of species as man captures without leaving enough time for organism to reproduce.

Deforestation is another major cause of loss of biodiversity Large area of forest or tropical rain forest are habitat of various species .Due to the rapid decline of these forest the species are also declining.Forest are declining due to the increase in population and increasing demand of huma s for settlement or other purpose.

Pollution of environment has also contributed towards the loss of biodiversity as from burning of fossil fuels to dumping billion pounds of plastic in oceans every year pollution completely disrupts the earth ecosystem .

Acid rain which is typically caused by the burning of fossil fuel can acidify smaller bodies of water and soil,negatively affecting the species that live there by changing breeding and feeding habits.

To overcome these problems we should adopt various measures such as to reduce pollution, we should adopt different measures such as adopting recycling and reusing methods.The rules and laws made by government against overexploitation should be followed strictly.Ti reduce climate change we should think how we can reduce our own carbon footprints.Awareness should be given to people about the cause of climate Chaney and it's consequences which we are facing now and what we have to face in future of we don't act seriously to solve this problem now.
