Watercress
It is one of the delicious leafy vegetable .It is a member of cruciferae family. Watercress is a rapidly growing aquatic or semiaquatic ,perennial plant native to Europe and Asia .It is one of the oldest vegetable consumed by humans.

In Nepal it is recognised with the name of 'Kholesaag'.In villages it is generally found at the bank of running rivers that's why it is called as kholesaag in Nepal.There are different varieties of watercress.

Cultivation of watercress is practical on both large scale and garden scale.Being semi-aquatic watercress is well-suited to hydroponic cultivation.

Watercress is a green leafy vegetable that packs a powerful nutrient punch.Watercress contains more amount of Vitamin K ,a fat soluble vitamin necessary for blood clotting and healthy bone.It also contain small amount of Vitamin E ,thiamine,riboflavin,Vitamin B6.

Watercress is packed with plant compounds called antioxidant that protect against cell damage caused by free radicals which are harmful molecules that lead to oxidative stress.
It contains various minerals and vitins which is very beneficial for the bones and muscles of our body.The juice of watercress if consumed or applied in hair it makes our hair thick and strong 

Due to presence of isothiocyanate it help us to fight against cancer and also good for clear and spotless skin.

Watercress is also beneficial for patients of migraine inaddition to that it solves the problem of insomnia, difficulty in breathing and mental stress.

Thus,watercress is very beneficial for health and even it can be cultivated easily but it is not explored more or very less people know about it.Thats why such plant should be explored more.
