Hello everyone,
I hope all of you are doing well and staying safe at home. I hope your lockdown period is going well.

Covid -19 pandemic has created a great loss to humanity. Besides that it has also created a great loss to agriculture products.Being an agriculture student I was curious to know what losses agriculture products have to bear in this lockdown period.

Agriculture products have become the first victim of lockdown period.Due to lockdown period agriculture products like milk, dairy products ,vegetables ,fruit and poultry products are not sold as per the previous rate as the products were more in supply or production than demand.

Due to lockdown imposed by government of Nepal because of the fear of coronavirus all the hotels, restaurants, partypalace, banquet, school and colleges and other major functions which used to consume agroproducts like dairy products, milk vegetables ,nonveg products had suffer a great loss or great decline in market.

According to a report,DDC's market is also down by 44% . DDC used to send 172 thousand litre in valley market, bit after this outbreak the market has shrunk to 96,320 litres only. Its being really difficult to balance the market for DDC as the supply is higher than demand.

Besides this , those farmers who are only dependent on their income by selling agriculture products like vegetables, fruit and milk on a small scale are  facing major loss and are dealing with a great problem as it was the only source of their income. Due to the threat of Corona virus people not even buy day to day vegetables and the strict lockdown rules is not even letting them to sell the products properly .So the local farmers are in a great problem.
