Carbon footprint

Hello everyone ,
I hope you all are doing well and staying safe at home .In present context we all are aware about climate change its causes and the effects of climate change that we are facing. We all know that carbon emission is a main factor for the climate change.

Carbon footprints is the amount of carbon dioxide released into atmosphere as a result of the activities of particular individual, organisation or community .Most us have known this term and it's impact.

But the question is how many of us have seriously taken any major step towards reducing carbon footprint on individual basis. In our day to day activities all of us have contributed in increasing carbon footprint indirectly or directly either we accept it or not. For example while using detergents or soap we should use phosphate free soap ,we should only use the required amount of detergents for cleaning. While travelling rather than using car we can choose public transportation or we should consider alternative means of transportation if possible like bike or cycle.People who are using car on daily basis should always check their tire pressure and avoid driving with extra weight in car. While washing the car we should wash the car on a surface such as grass or gravel so that water is filtered before reaching water body .Use non toxic or phosphorus free soap.

The main cause that is electricity consumption .To reduce carbon footprint we should utilize the electricity properly by replacing old lights with new efficient energy bulbs. Open shades to utilize daylight instead of turning on lights on cool days this helps to rooms warmer. In summer close shades when not in room to keeps rooms cooler and use less electricity.Hand dry clothes instead of using dryers.

The most important that we should learn and even encourage others to learn is the proper decomposing of waste. First of all we should know about the biodegradable and no biodegradable waste and decompose our waste accordingly. The biodegradable waste should be used to make compost and nonbiodegradable waste
should be reused and recycled and the plastic materials should be purchased less as plastic are major source of pollution.

This was a short information regarding carbon footprint and their causes .I think it's a high time to realize that we all have to be serious towards reducing carbon footprint on individual basis and should encourage the people around us to do so by starting from our family members and then other people.

Let's think and innovate some better ideas to reduce the carbon footprint and save our enviroment.
