Are we Ethnobotanist?

The conservation of our culture and traditions from our ancestors to ancestors and making them alive until today is a moment of pride for us. Every ethnic community has its own culture and traditions. However cross-cultural traditions have been reported significantly between the closely observed ethnic community.

If we look after our culture and tradition and explore more many more are to be known still. The use of plants and animals for different purposes has been practiced from our ancestors to ancestors. Talking about ethnobotany, we all are directly or indirectly associated with it. In our homes, we talk about the importance of herbs found near our locality. If we go deep to explore the herbs we would be able to know that it was in existence from our ancestors and all we know today is the gift and knowledge of our ancestors.

Ethnobotany around a typical community is of great importance and we too fall under some of the ethnic community and are related to it. The one who collects the knowledge on the botany related to the ethnic community is the ethnobotanists.

And, we are the ones who are well trained and fashioned by floras and faunas around us. Also, we preserve our ancestor's findings and their importance towards it. Thus, there would be no doubt to say ourselves an ethnobotanist.

Are we ethnobotanist?
