Why Nepalese Agriculture is vulnerable to Climate change??

In Nepal , the economy of country is dominated by Agriculture. Being developing country ,Nepalese agriculture is more vulnerable to climate change.Some of reasons are listed below:    

 

• Monsoon dependent (80% rainfall Jun-Sep)

• Around 21% only irrigated land

• Agriculture is susceptible to short term change

• Fragile land

• Poor economy and lack of preparedness

• Unsustainable growth

• Lack of relevant data and study

• Implementation gap

• Dependency on natural resources

• Lack of preparedness
