Exploitation of natural resources

Natural resources are very important in our daily life. Their presence and proper use show the prosperity of a nation. But their use must be limited. Due to overpopulation, industrialization and urbanization, they are overused. Some of the sources of energy like coal and petroleum are going to be finished in near future. Imagine the world without them. The overuse of forest products has led to global warming, irregular rain cycle, floods and landslides. Sources of water are drying and the sign of desertification is seen in the Terai. Due to global warming, snow of high peaks of mountains is melting. Scarcity of different minerals and metals is also felt due to their overuse. Besides them, air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, etc. are also increasing. The adverse effects of the exploitation of natural resources can be summed up in the following points:

1.It causes pollution of air, water and land.

2.It leads to deforestation and desertification.
3.Natural disasters like flood and landslide occur frequently due to unwise use of natural resources.
4.Depletion of pasture land is seen.
5.The quality of soil degrades.
6.The number of wildlife degrades.
7.Scarcity of energy sources is felt.
