Global Warming: Problems and Prevention

by Rijana Adhikari | 28-03-2020 18:42

The term 'Global Warming' has been a subject of discussion for years as it has adverse effect. The increasement in the temperature of the earth every year due to the environmental pollution is known as global warming. The process of modernization, industrialization and urbanization have given birth to many forms of pollution on air, water and land with its adverse harmful gases like carbon-dioxide. The temperature of the earth is increasing as these gases trap heat and do not let out. This is also called green house effect which is the main reason for global warming.

Global warming is caused by the increase of particular gases, especially carbon-dioxide. Nowadays the factories are developed which produce a lot of harmful gases, That harm the nature. Many developed countries are developing big complex and the trees are slowly felling. We are not being able to save our trees which is the main cause of global warming. The snow of the mountain is also melting slowly. Many meetings in the world took place to discuss about the global warming. Many developed countries make new arms and weapons which produce a lot of gas and harm our nature.

Potential Impacts of Global Warming:

The immediate impact of the the greenhouse gases is to disturb the global energy balance causing the rise of average atmospheric temperature. Most of the numerical models were unable to show the rise in the temperature in concrete value but they give an estimate of average increase of 2 degree to 5 degree centigrade by the next 100 years. Though there may be the number of factors responsible for rise in temperature, these model predictions based on present emission rate has variation within the range of natural variability. Effects on temperature may still be small at present but near future, the rising effects cause the concern of human towards it.

Effects of Global Warming on Human Health:

Global climate changes may increase the charge of disease in human and animals in some pars of the world. It may cause significant loss of life. First it may increase in mortality and illness due to anticipated increase in intensity and duration of thermal wave. Further, it may cause serious problems. Secondly, It may cause potential transmission of vector borne diseases such as malaria, yellow fever etc.

Solution  to control Global Warming:

Personally, we should also take measures to solve this problem. The global warming is the real threat for this century. We should make energy conservation a part of our daily routine. We should take primitive measures regarding controlling of pollution and increase awareness regarding controlling of pollution and increase awareness regarding bad impacts of global warming. It is urgent for us to reduce the impact of global warming otherwise in future we will have to face a serious problem,
