What is bio-pesticide??

Bio-pesticide is a compound that kills organism by virtue of specific biological effects rather than as a border chemical poison. The rational behind replacing conventional pesticide with bio pesticide is that bio- pesticides are more likely to be selective and degradable(FOA,2015)

Why to use bio pesticides??

1. Human and environment safety.

2. Alternatives to conventional pesticides:

  14% of all known occupational injuries and 10% of fatal injuries are caused by pesticide (ILO,1996)

3. Amenable to small scale,local production in developing country.
