Water resources in Nepal

by Soyam Dhamala | 28-03-2020 00:48

Nepal is small but a beautiful country bounded with many natural resources including many flora and fauna. Though being a small country Nepal is the second richest country in water resources over the world. Water is a constant factor in our daily life without which we cannot survive.

Water is a perpetual natural resource. It is directly proportional with the environment. For a better and perfect environment water plays a major role in it. Water is also considered as a blood for farming and environment because without water a perfect environment cannot exist. With the help of water we can grow many trees, herbs, shrubs which most likely will make a forest and maintains the environment of our surroundings. Rain water, water pond, river, lakes plays a major role for the growth of trees and maintaining a balanced environment.

Despite being the second richest country in the water resource we aren¡¯t able to fully implement it to its full extent. Because of that, we have to face many problems in our ecosystem. Without water there will be no trees and when there will be no trees then it may lead to many natural calamities like floods, landslides etc. which brings a drastical change in our ecosystem as well as our environment.

So, protecting water and utilizing it in efficient way should be our top most priority. We are blessed to have such a huge amount of water resource in our country and we should be focusing on using those outmost resources efficiently to its full extent and help to make a better surrounding, ecosystem and environment not only for our country but for the whole world.
