E-waste has been an emerging issue in the present context globally. Undoubtedly,it's been raising as one of the hazardous environmental pollutants these days.
So, what exactly is e-waste?
Introduction
E waste is an abbreviated form of Electronic waste. It refers to discarded electrical or electronic devices. 
E-waste can also be considered as used electronics which are destined for refurbishment (renovation and redecoration), reuse, resale, salvage recycling through material recovery, or disposal.
When electronics end up in landfills, toxics like lead, mercury, and cadmium leach into the soil and water
Magnitude of the problem:-
The electronic waste problem is huge.Worldwide, some 45 million tons of electric and electronic waste was produced last year alone, and this has been increasing at 7% a year. According to a study carried out by Nepal¡¯s Department of Environment, Kathmandu alone discarded 18,000 metric tons of e-waste last year.
Management of E-waste:-
Managing E-waste can be in a large scale such as usage of land-fill compressors to simple ways. Here are some of the techniques of managing the waste in our home/locality easily:-
  1. Sell old Electronics.
  2. Donate old Electronics. 
  3. Recycle and Dispose of E-Waste Properly.
  4. Maintain your Electronics.
  5. Repurpose or Re-evaluate. 
  6. Store Data Online. 
  7. Buy Energy Star Rated Electronics.
  8. Learn to repair broken electronics at home.
  9. Rent electronic equipment instead of buying.
