Air pollution is introduction of chemicals,particulate matter or biological materials that cause harm or discomfort to humans or other living organisms or cause damage to the natural environment, built environmnet, into the atmosphere.

Preverntion of air pollution:

1)Natural mechanism

a.Dispersion:Some pollutant are dispersed by the wind

b.Settling:Gravitational pull heavy pollutant get settled

c.Absorption:Absorption by moisture or rain

2)Artificial mechanism

a.Controlling pollution at source:Use of gravitational settling chambers, centrifugal separator,scrubber,bag filter,electrostatic precipitators,quality fuel

b)COnstruction of tall chimneys:Develop green belt
