Father of Iranian oak Trees

Mozaffar Afshar was born in September 1952. He studied in construction engineering. He has planted more than 40,000 oak seeds during his more than 30 years of environmental and oak protection work. Because of this, he has been known as the father of Iranian oak trees.

His interest in planting seedlings has been such that he has changed his surname to Balot kar (it means who plants oak in Persian language). Afshar has dedicated his own parking and home garden to an oak and flower growing plant, devoted to planting oak trees and educating the public on environmental protection and tree planting. Patiently explain to each visitor how to protect the forest and plant the seedlings.

He plants seedlings in recycling  box to show everyone doing this is easy. In addition, Afshar donates a lot of oak seedlings to the people every year. He said in an interview ¡®¡¯One of the most important things that I do every year is presenting basic education for students in about 100 schools through holding workshops.  We teach oak planting seedlings theoretically before Eid(Persian new year in March), and after that we do it practically ."

During the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20, 2015, about 3,800 students attended Afshar¡¯s workshop, and about 200 people are visiting his home on a weekly basis to learn from him.

Given his efforts to plant trees in Iran, as well as educating a large number of students, I think his actions have to save trees and the environment,So he is the one who has made the planet a better place.
