by Sandhya Adhikari | 06-03-2020 16:09

Looking back to my days when only a four walls of the room and the pages of the books used to be my destination and goal. I still remember that time when a girl was given responsibility of the junior eco club. My mind was in perplexed no any posits on the cerebrum but as the time passed my enthusiasm reached the peak for the environment, my curiosity made me to think more for the mother earth. Thus a nerd changed into a environmental activist, time passed and my academic commitment increased due to unsuitability of the time for two years I waited to be the member of this elite platform, joining this platform is one of my major dream and it has nearly been a year since I am engaged to this platform. The most happiest moment for me is when I had been declared as 23rd regional ambassador from Nepal at Tunza Eco Generation. During my tenure as 23rd ambassador I had conducted various environmental literacy campaigns. Now my term has been extended as 24th ambassador too. I do have made a lot of commitment for this term too. Though I couldn¡¯t conduct and complete my every resolution plans mentioned in the contest form due to my academic commitments. Here are some of my major activities that I conducted during my terms:

3. Presentation and introduction of foldscope: 1$ paper origami microscope in various school and IAAS for  the first time as programme coordinator:

Foldscope 1$ paper microscope I one of the cheaper frugal science invention which works like a functional microscope. Being a residence of developing countries we people couldn¡¯t afford expensive price of such microscope. So in order to make science easily available and accessible to everyone, I had conducted this programme as a coordinator on various school making them aware that we can afford science and can have lab in our pocket. For more detail of this please go through my report on ambassador page.
