One day a week, cut out meat: Meatless Monday

Everybody knows¡¦no, everybody should know; becoming a vegetarian does not mean giving up your enjoyment of food. In fact, it leaves quite an enjoyable aftertastes: a good conscience. Whoever eats a lot of conventional meat emits nearly twice as much CO2 per year compared to someone who chooses to eat mostly vegetarian and ecological foods!

An international movement to help people reduce their meat consumption by 15% to improve personal health and health of the planet.

On average, Americans consumes 8 ounces of meat per day- 45% more than the USDA recommends. Going meatless once a week can reduce the risk of chronic preventable conditions and can also help limit the carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel. One day without meat saves as much greenhouse gases as one day without a car driving.
