Free Report: Get back to Nature.

by Sandhya Adhikari | 02-02-2020 18:54

During my classes, my professor used to say,"There is no any free lunch for anyone", everybody have to pay for their existence on nature, it was quite a new topic for me but he made me clear with all the logics. Similarly, 5 Days ago, the news that I happen to see on the social media striked my head, a bold title " Get Back to the Nature", it made me think and surf the google What actually it means??
In the context of this modern era, more people are looking to reduce their carbon foot print to limit their damage to this planet amide increasing concern about the effect of climate change. So in order to reduce carbon footprint, an idea came from Katrina Spade: CEO and Founder of Recompose, a human composting company. While studying in the graduate school this idea hit her when her friend told her how the farmer are composting their livestocks, so she developed an idea what if human remains are composted, Could it be an eco friendly option of human as well??? Spade said, " It was a really wonderful epiphany to have that we have not discovered all the way to care for our bodies, for our physical selves after death and that this might be one reality, not only useful and practical option but also one that resonate for a lot of people emotionally". Cremation stops the cycle of life to death by destroying the potential we have in our bodies to give back to the earth. So a concept was developed alternative to burial and cremation I.e human composting. Now it has been made legal at Washington, thus Governer Jay Inslee signed legislation making the washington as the first state to approve human composting as an alternative to burrying or cremating human remains which will begin from May 2020.

Addition to this, Human body contains a lot of protein and moisture. So in order to help them break down quickly they are placed in a vessel with 0xygen and materials like alfalfa, wood chips and straw. Human composting would be a much greener after death options. Company says, human composting improves the soil health, Sequesters carbondioxides, it has been estimated that over one metric tons of carbon dioxide per person is saved through human composting. It is believed to be more eco friendly than traditional method of burial or cremation. Recompose patent- pending process involves the placing of the human dead bodies on one of the moisture and temperature controlled vessels filled with wood chips, straw and alfalfa, recompose's human composting consume one eight of the energy required for cremation. This process generates a cubic yard of soil from the human body and the bereaved family can choose to keep the resulting soil to grow flowers, vegetables or so on. If they dont take the soil then soil can be used as vegetation at Washington.
The process of Composting involves:
- At first step bodies would be covered with wood, straw and alfalfa, chips to naturally accelerate decomposition
- Bacteria release enzyme that decompose the tissue and carbon nitrogen heavy molecules bind together.
- After 30 days complete decomposition takes place and a human body is converted into cubic yard of soil.

This all process takes place inside the hexagonal vessels. Human composting consume one eight of the energy required for cremation. Conventional burial in which people are drained of their blood, pumped full of formaldehyde and other chemicals that pollutes the environment, composting could be of good option in the urban area where the cemetery land is scarce. This is some what a good way to give back to nature, nice to leave a legacy, a best way to bid a farewell to our body, interesting paradox to be very simple dirt and be sacred, we get back to the nature.

Being born on the Hindu civilization cremation is considered as one of the holiest rituals in our culture, I don't want to go against the culture that has been practiced years after years, but if I am given an option to choose though its hard to put myself in that position but would like to be reduced via natural organic reduction and go back to nature.
