by SANDIP PAUDEL | 31-01-2020 16:14

Movie is always the first choice of many people in matter of entertaining, learning, advertisement, trade, business, communication, and better understanding. It is fascinating and attracting the people¡¯s mind, and it¡¯s market has huge scope, demand, goin¡¯ broadening day by day.

As an thematic report today, I am bringing the movie name in front of you all, that I found most impressive, logistic, as well as it made me think again and again about the danger we are likely to face, if action is n't built against it. Many of you have already watched or hear from different media about this movie, it¡¯s an award winning movie titiled ¡°Before the flood¡±.

Before the Flood is a 2016 documentary film about climate change  which was directed by Fisher Stevens. The film was produced as a collaboration between famous actors like Stevens, Leonardo DiCaprio, James Packer, etc.

The film was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in  2016. As part of National Geographic's commitment to covering climate change, the documentary was made widely available and free of charge on various platforms.

Before The Flood is the outstanding result of an incredible three-year journey that took place with co-creator and director. They went to every corner of the globe to document the devastating impacts of climate change and questioned humanity's ability to reverse what may be the most catastrophic problem mankind has ever faced. There was a lot to take in. All that they witnessed on this journey shows that our world's climate is incredibly interconnected and that it is at urgent breaking point. They wanted to create a film that gave people a sense of urgency, that made them understand what particular things are going to solve this problem. They bring up the issue of a carbon tax, for example, which hasn¡¯t seen in a lot of documentaries. Basically, sway a capitalist economy to try to invest in renewables, to bring less money and subsidies out of oil companies. These are the things that are really going to make a massive difference. Important message they deliver via this movie were:-

We cannot afford to have political leaders out there that do not believe in modern science or the scientific method or empirical truths

We cannot afford to waste time having people in power that choose to believe in the 2 percent of the scientific community that is basically bought off by lobbyists and oil companies.

The film shows DiCaprio visiting various regions of the globe exploring the impact of global warming. As a narrator, DiCaprio comments these encounters as well as archive footages. DiCaprio uses as an analogy of the present course of the world toward potential ruin as depicted on its final panel.

Discover the many solutions we can implement today, which will prevent the worst impacts of climate change and unlock a clean energy revolution.

¡°Climate change is the single greatest threat to a sustainable future but, at the same time, addressing the climate challenge presents a golden opportunity to promote prosperity, security and a brighter future for all.¡±

BAN KI-MOON Secretary General, United Nations

¡°Clean air, water and a livable climate are inalienable human rights. And solving this crisis is not a question of politics it is a question of our own survival.¡±

LEONARDO DICAPRIO

¡°When you go up there and look at it with your own eye, how thin the world's atmosphere is, tiny little onion skin around the Earth...it¡¯s an astonishingly fragile film.¡±
