Etymologically, wastes are the substances or objects which are disposed of or are intended to be disposed of or are required to be disposed of by the provisions of law. Similarly, disposal means any operation which may lead to resource recovery, recycling, reclamation, direct re-use or alternative uses. Improper waste management is the major issue   in Nepal  that   causes   unhygienic environment.    It    is    the    major    cause    of spreading    disease.    People    breathing    in polluted  air  of Nepal  will have  to  face surely  the critical  situation  until  we  find  proper  solution for   this issue. There  are  several contaminants that  are causing   this   unhygienic   environment,   one from  those  is  garbage  heaps  and  that  is  our major concern. With the aim of proper disposal of the domestic wastes, I urged the people living in my community for making compost manure of biodegradable wastes. Also , I requested them to dispose the wastes in the garbage truck who manages wastes by sanitation engineer.So,I requested Mr.Ram Lama who is village chief.So by his concern towards my plead he has managed garbage truck who comes to collect non-biodegradable garbage.This has made people to be freed from burning the plastic which directly or indirectly harms to the lives in the community.

 10 Steps for integrated solid waste management: 

1)Assess existing situation on generation and management of solid waste. 2)Prepare plan for integrated solid waste management system.   3)Design and implement an effective waste collection and transportation system. 4)Maximize waste reduction ,composting and recycling 

5)Develop and operate sanitary landfill for non-recyclable waste  6)Establish a system for special and hazardous waste management  7)Moblize local communities 

8)Encourage private sector participation  9)Strengthen institutional framework   10)Strenthen financial management for solid waste management.
