Hi everyone! My name is Lisa Zaretskaya. I would like to draw your attention to my report related to the topic of Environmental issues in Films and Books. In this regard, I would like to introduce you to a new Australian documentary called 2040. This film made by filmmaker Damon Gameau, who tells the story by introducing us to his 4-year-old daughter, then visualizing in detail how technology could change by the time she¡¯s 25. He said that the inspiration for the film came from his daughter.

What would the world look like in 2040 if we actually implement the solutions for climate change that already exist in 2019? It¡¯s a story that¡¯s less often told than that of future catastrophe. We can say that this is an optimistic story to saving the world and an idealist's vision of a healthy and green Earth. Damon Gameau spent eight months talking to scientists and other experts about solutions before filming began.

The film uses clever visual effects to explain the problem. He talks about solar power, about new farming models, and about new approaches to the cultivation of seaweed to promote marine biodiversity. This film is very interesting. I advise you to watch it! And now I offer a trailer for this movie.
