Visit Nepal 2020

by Kushal Naharki | 01-01-2020 23:47

Tourism is not only a major economic sector of Nepal but also an area with immense potentiality. Our country is exceptionally gifted in nature, culture and heritage. Many of our beautiful locations are yet to be explored and accessed. Nepal is celebrating Year 2020 as the year of ¡°Visit Nepal 2020¡±.

Visit Nepal 2020 has also focused on the issue of environmental sustainability. It has commitment on ¡®Going Green¡¯. It focuses to adopt a green provincial development strategy at the national level linked to Sustainable Development Goals to foster alignment between government and agencies in resource allocation, planning and implementation. It also has increased focus on climate change and managing mountaineering and trekking to mitigate overcrowding and mismanaged and inferior tourism practices. Integrate conservation, green initiatives and socio-economic development with minimal impact on environment while offering lifetime tourism experience.

Nepal is also organizing ¡°The Sustainable Summits conference¡± in Nepal on 1-5 June 2020 to showcase the country¡¯s mountain environment, highlight climate change issues and bring international attention to Nepal¡¯s mountain tourism. It is 5th international conference sharing solutions for protecting and preserving the world¡¯s mountain regions. The Sustainable Summits Conferences are inspired by the growing pressures on our mountain environments, the need to find solutions to the impacts of such pressures – overcrowding, waste, noise and more – and a drive to uphold values in sustaining these environments. Details can be found on http://sustainablesummits.org.

I request all of Tunza EcoGeneration to visit Nepal. We are excited to host you here at Nepal. From the remotest corners to the urban landscape, Nepal embodies a sensory experience of colors, sounds, sights and tastes. Visit Nepal welcomes you to life¡¯s amazing moments.
